Day 1
|
Arrive Dublin Airport and meet your driver in the arrivals hall as you begin your Irish journey. A short coastal drive takes you to Malahide Castle where you can stretch your legs with a tour of the castle and please your pallet with your first taste of Irish tea and scones. As your journey continues, you will find yourself in the historic town of Trim with time to explore the grounds of Trim Castle, the site of the acclaimed movie Braveheart. Day 2
|
Your first stop today takes you to Clonmacnoise, one of the most famous ecclesiastical sites in Ireland. Continuing on your way, you arrive in the quaint village of Adare, one of Ireland's prettiest towns, punctuated with thatched roofs and clever stonework. After a stroll around the village you will have a chance to explore the grounds of Adare Manor and enjoy afternoon tea. | Today a scenic drive through charming villages and fuchsia-lined hedgerows takes you to Dingle Peninsula, Ireland's most western point. In the town of Dingle, you will hear the locals speaking the native tongue of Gaelic. A breathtaking coastal drive around Slea Head allows you to catch a glimpse of the Blasket Islands. Day 4
|
A short ride brings you to the bustling town of Killarney for a visit to the stately Muckross House. Travel through the Killarney National Park to the village of Blarney where those energetic enough can receive the "gift of eloquence" by climbing the 104 steps to kiss the famous Blarney stone. Others may enjoy the time to shop at the well-known Blarney Woolen Mills. Arrive in the charming village of Kinsale, the gourmet capital of Ireland, for hotel check-in and time to explore this vibrant town before dinner in your hotel. Day 5

Today's scenic drive takes you through the picturesque harbor town of Cobh, the last port of call for the Titanic, and on to Waterford. In route, you will stop at the Stephen Pierce Pottery Museum and the quaint village of Ardmore, before arriving at the 15th century Waterford Castle where you will ferry over to the castle's private island. Following a breakfast fit for a king and queen you will begin your journey to Dublin. Along the way your group will stop at the magnificent Powerscourt Estate set in the Wicklow Mountains. Arrive Dublin for hotel check-in and time to explore. Your hotel is centrally located amidst the Georgian area of Dublin and steps away from an abundant selection of restaurants and shops. | Today is yours to explore the capital city and take in some sights. Tour by foot or double-decker bus.
