Ireland offers links golf -- courses fashioned from rolling seaside dunes -- at its best. For golfing purposes, the island is often broken into four rough districts: west coast, southwest, north coast and east. The southwest's famous courses are the most popular, and the most expensive. The west coast is the world's bargain spot for links golf.
